Fantastic Beasts

I just met you, and you just met me

But when Hedwig's Theme starts,

we both squeal with glee

Clutching onto each other like we can't breathe

"Can I please hold your hand?

I just can’t handle this.”

And I look at you strangely and laugh,

“My hands are sweaty though.”

You roll your eyes and hold them anyway,

Our fingers tightly intertwined.

We sit there stunned as the credits roll.

Open mouthed in awe.

I grab my wand, and with flourish of my cape,

I turn to leave.

“See you in two years!!!” you yell after me.

“You got it!” I reply with a wave.

But I never see you again.
